Luckily my father had me under cars since I was little fixing stuff has been a major help. But as I get older it’s a bit harder to do the things I want to do with it. So few things are contracted to mechanics.
I pounced in it when I saw it knowing it may take a few months or years before I would get to it.
I purchased the start of this project by trading for it piece by piece traded a 1929 Mercedes Benz kit car for the project and a lot of other old goodies to make this build happen.
Let’s start this new year off right, let’s start telling the stories again and get some new material.
Well, another year has gone by and we have had some milestones happen. This has been a good year for us, so, in an effort to recap what has been happening, let’s look back at last years review.
Now, as you can guess, this festival is centered around apples and scrapple. (For those of you who may not know what scrapple is, it is scraps of pork, seasoned and cooked and put in a mold.)
It’s like a sickness you could say. Any one who has seen the movie “Christine” will have an idea of my mind set when I laid my eyes on my 56 Cadillac.
No matter your thought on what a rat is, or is not, this build deserves respect. It is a labor of love and a well put together piece of machinery.
It has almost been a year. Ten months really, since this idea became something tangible. Since I acted upon my ideas and began to go out and “do something” with it.
We tried to make it like a trip, so, you could see what we saw, but, you have to remember, we are not paid professionals, we do this because we enjoy it, so, no critiquing my skills. lol.
