1958 Chevrolet Pick Up

What stage is this in?

Somewhere between complete and not sure if it will ever get finished

When did you purchase it and for how much?

I bought it in 1988 for $600

Why did you choose this vehicle?

My brother in law purchase it 1966 for $200.

Mr Black bought it from the original owner (a local Junior College). So there are only 4 owners and all in Wise County, Texas

What sort of condition was it in when you started the project, what was wrong with it, etc.

Mostly original, except the engine & transmission and rear end.

I drove it for two years till 1990.

It has bondo and rust!

Original turquoise was covered up by 3rd owner. My brother in law

It has an aftermarket A/C and tinted windows.

CB radio and 8 track radio.

Had Velvet Curtains for the back glass and gun racks!

What, specifically have you done, or had done to it?

Mustang II front suspension.

Bought a donor 2001 truck, used the 4.8 engine 4L60E transmission and computer.

Can you list any and all parts that you have put in?

Electric wipers.

American Racing 18” wheels.

Halogen headlights.

Sound deadening floor material.

New carpet.

Upholstery on original seat.

Metal plate for bed.

Air shocks on rear.

Where have you purchased your parts?

Summitt Racing.

LMC parts.

Southwest Classic parts

I am 63 years old

Any garages, parts stores, fabrication shops, etc you want to call out specifically?

A good friend did all the labor, we had bartered for a 1979 4 wheel drive Chevy as payment for his labor
