What stage is this in?
Completed Project
When did you purchase it and for how much?
I purchased it in 2013 for $26,000 (CDN)
Why did you choose this vehicle?
I had a 69 Mustang Fastback when I was a young whipper snapper, and decided to look into an 05-09 Mustang.
I found the 07 Shelby GT, didn’t know what it was, but made a call to the Shelby Registry after test driving, realized it was a real Shelby and bought it right then.
What sort of condition was it in when you started the project, what was wrong with it, etc.
It was in excellent condition, although some of the original Shelby parts were missing, but I’ve since then got it back to original.
What, specifically have you done, or had done to it?
Upgraded to the Kenne Bell supercharger package at Shelby, making it a true Shelby GT/SC.
I have also done some tasteful changes to the appearance, including upper rear scoops, retro mirrors and headlights, lower billet grille, PIAA driving lights, and Berg snake badging.
Can you list any and all parts that you have put in?
Kenne Bell 2.6 polished supercharger,
Baer brakes (14″)
DP ducktail spoiler
retro mirrors and headlights
Where have you purchased your parts?
Shelby American, www.americanmuscle.com
What about you?

Any stories regarding this project?
Saw an add in auto trader for an 07 Shelby, but it didn’t have the front end that I was familiar with (GT500). Went to take a test drive, salesman was adamant that it was a real Shelby but I wasn’t sold yet, but was interested.
I got the price down (on consignment at Chevy dealer). Told them I hadn’t budgeted that much (but was actually in my range).
Told them I needed to make a call for more money, and called the Shelby registry with the VIN. Was told it was the real deal. walked back in and told them we have a deal.
Went the the cash counter to make a deposit. Just as I was paying, a man walking in with a paper bag, lifted it up into the air and said, “I’ll pay cash for that Shelby out there”! My salesman reply’s, “I’m sorry sir, this gentleman just purchased the car.
If looks could kill, I’d be 6 feet down right now. He wasn’t a happy camper … but I am.
Another story: Lived in Vegas from 2005-12. Was driving north on the I-15 and to my right, near the race track, was a sea of black and white mustangs. Without knowing at the time; I probably glanced at my current ride back then.
